Everyone living in Tachikawa should know this stylish restaurant, MOTHERS ORIENTAL, in the north of Tachikawa. The restaurant is on the first floor of Cinema City, a cinema complex, and has been recently renovated. You must feel more comfortable after the change.

A plate of three kinds of ceviche from the south America is 1,500 yen (the price includes tax). You can enjoy three types of marinade such as shrimp and tomato, scallops and lotus root with spicy Japanese peppers, and yellowtail, whelk and arugula with vinaigrette sauce. You will have a good appetite with the sour taste.

The inside looks like a hotel lounge. A space with a very high ceiling creates the restaurant more comfortable. Several types of seats are available: private room, lofts, counter seats and others. You can enjoy for any occasion.

MOTHER’S restaurant group has 19 restaurants all over Japan, especially in Tachikawa. MOTHER’S ORIENTAL mainly offers Italian dishes using a variety of ingredients. After the pandemic more people tend to spend a time at a restaurant shortly in a casual way and less people order a course menu and hold a wedding party. With the change of the environment, the restaurant installed a new pizza brick oven in September 2021. The long chimney reaching 13th floor is a landmark of the restaurant.
“After the renovation people can enjoy authentic Napoli pizza and more young customers are coming in. Ms. Morishita, an owner of the restaurant, smiled. She was a nurse. “I liked the work, but I liked more having a special day together with our customers at their birthday and at a proposal of marriage. I want customers to enjoy everything we offer, which are our services, our cuisine, and this comfortable and rich atmosphere. I wish the restaurant will be the best place in Tachikawa.” Even if she changed her carrier, her heart-warming smile won’t change.
